Members Present: Bob Mann, Blaze Konefal, Dawn Marshall, Zachary Boyajian, Jim Eggers
Call to Order by Bob Mann at 7:15 pm.
Minutes of the May 12, 2016 meeting were approved and the minutes of the June 9, 2016 meeting were approved with minor changes.
Mailbag
Statement of the Citizens Bank CD for June.
Form for sign-up for space at Old Home Day – no action taken.
Invoice for for legal services for the Shirley Waters estate $2,431.50.
Agenda
a. Public Outreach: Zack will conduct a walk of trails on south side of Carpenter Park at 9AM at Old Home Day, August 20. Heritage Commission program on Poor Farms with Steve Taylor, July 21, 7PM.
b. Land Conservation: We will attempt to get Ken Stern of Five Rivers Conservation Trust to attend our September meeting to talk about easement protection for town lands. Pursuant to discussion of conservation lands near Spaulding Lot, Dawn will research lot owners Map 2. Results of her research as follows:
Lot 16, 17, 18: Brenda Boswak, TTE
Lot 23: Patty Humphrey
c. Spaulding Town Forest: Zack reported that owners of the abutting, Map 1, Lot 31 are agreeable to the town's continued use of the pathway on their land for foot traffic from Hutchinson Road to the Spaulding Lot.
d. Carpenter Park: Zack reported on progress on construction of the new service building and patio at the park. OHD plans proceeding for August 20.
e. Madeline Sanborn Conservation Area: Access trail need cutting to slow down the poison ivy.
f. Easement Stewardship: Easement walks may be held in he fall.
